Join us on the eve of Tu b’Shvat to attune with the forest in midwinter. We’ll begin at 6pm with song, poetry, and creating a collective altar. Afterward, join us for a hearty dinner of soup (DF & GF) and bread, and a magical nighttime hike lit by fairy lights.

We will be outdoors and keep warm with a fire, hot food and drinks, and hand warmers. In the case of extreme cold, we have an alternative indoor location nearby and will skip the hike. We’ll email everyone who’s registered if we need to move indoors.

Register below by February 9th

  • Please dress for the weather and for hiking
  • Please bring something to contribute to our altar

Since it’s the birthday of the trees, perhaps there is a a tree-related item from in or near your home that you’d like to bring for our altar. Unlike other times when we’ve created altars together, we will not be foraging items for our altar during the event (though we will have some items available that you can place on the altar).

  • There is a paved path from the parking lot to the pavillion.
  • During the ritual component and dinner, we will be sitting in the pavillion. There is a fireplace in the pavilion and we will have a fire going for warmth.
  • The hike is about a 1 mile loop, lit by lanterns. It is a dirt trail with a slight incline, and there may be snow or mud depending on the weather.
